1414 1 AN ACT concerning education.
1515 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1616 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1717 4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Sections
1818 5 10-20.81 and 34-18.75 as follows:
1919 6 (105 ILCS 5/10-20.81)
2020 7 Sec. 10-20.81. Identification cards; suicide prevention
2121 8 and domestic violence information.
2222 9 (a) Each school district that serves pupils in any of
2323 10 grades 6 through 12 and that issues an identification card to
2424 11 pupils in any of grades 6 through 12 shall provide contact
2525 12 information for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
2626 13 (988), the Crisis Text Line, and the Safe2Help Illinois
2727 14 helpline on the identification card. The contact information
2828 15 shall identify each helpline that may be contacted through
2929 16 text messaging. The contact information shall be included in
3030 17 the school's student handbook and also the student planner if
3131 18 a student planner is custom printed by the school for
3232 19 distribution to pupils in any of grades 6 through 12.
3333 20 (b) Each school district that serves pupils in any of
3434 21 grades 6 through 12 and that issues an identification card to
3535 22 pupils in any of grades 6 through 12 shall provide contact

9090 12 (a) If the school district issues an identification card
9191 13 to pupils in any of grades 6 through 12, the district shall
9292 14 provide contact information for the National Suicide
9393 15 Prevention Lifeline (988), the Crisis Text Line, and the
9494 16 Safe2Help Illinois helpline on the identification card. The
9595 17 contact information shall identify each helpline that may be

9797 19 shall be included in the school's student handbook and also
