The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by 5 changing Section 12-4.13a as follows: 6 (305 ILCS 5/12-4.13a) 7 Sec. 12-4.13a. Gross income eligibility standard; SNAP. 8 (a) Subject to federal approval if required, a household 9 that includes an elderly, blind, or disabled person shall be 10 considered categorically eligible for Supplemental Nutrition 11 Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits if the gross income of such 12 household is at or below 200% of the nonfarm income poverty 13 guidelines updated periodically in the Federal Register by the 14 U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under the 15 authority of 42 U.S.C. 9902(2); and a household that does not 16 include an elderly, blind, or disabled person shall be 17 considered categorically eligible for Supplemental Nutrition 18 Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits if the gross income of such 19 household is at or below 165% of those nonfarm income poverty 20 guidelines. 21 (b) Subject to federal approval if required, a household 22 that includes one or more veterans or members of the armed 23 forces shall be considered categorically eligible for 104TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY State of Illinois 2025 and 2026 HB2353 Introduced , by Rep.
