11	11	1 AN ACT concerning education.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act
15	15	5 is amended by adding Section 1.30 as follows:
16	16	6 (105 ILCS 25/1.30 new)
17	17	7 Sec. 1.30. Student participation in interscholastic
18	18	8 athletics. Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, an
19	19	9 association or other entity that has as one of its purposes
20	20	10 promoting, sponsoring, regulating, or in any manner providing
21	21	11 for interscholastic athletics or any form of athletic
22	22	12 competition among schools and students within this State shall
23	23	13 allow a student to participate in interscholastic athletic
24	24	14 practices and events as a member of a team for a school in a
25	25	15 school district if the student is (1) listed in the statewide
26	26	16 student information system established by the State Board of
27	27	17 Education, (2) included in the school district's
28	28	18 evidence-based funding calculation or submitted enrollment
29	29	19 data under Section 18-8.15 of the School Code, (3) attending
30	30	20 the school for at least one course, (4) residing within the
31	31	21 school district, and (5) using an online learning platform
32	32	22 accredited and approved by the State Board of Education.
