19 | 19 | | 9 (a) Definitions. In this Section: |
---|
20 | 20 | | 10 "Athletic trainer" means an athletic trainer licensed |
---|
21 | 21 | | 11 under the Illinois Athletic Trainers Practice Act who is |
---|
22 | 22 | | 12 working under the supervision of a physician. |
---|
23 | 23 | | 13 "Coach" means any volunteer or employee of a school who is |
---|
24 | 24 | | 14 responsible for organizing and supervising students to teach |
---|
25 | 25 | | 15 them or train them in the fundamental skills of an |
---|
26 | 26 | | 16 interscholastic athletic activity. "Coach" refers to both head |
---|
27 | 27 | | 17 coaches and assistant coaches. |
---|
28 | 28 | | 18 "Interscholastic athletic activity" means any organized |
---|
29 | 29 | | 19 school-sponsored or school-sanctioned activity for students, |
---|
30 | 30 | | 20 generally outside of school instructional hours, under the |
---|
31 | 31 | | 21 direction of a coach, athletic director, or band leader, |
---|

78 | 78 | | 11 "Nurse" means a person who is employed by or volunteers at |
---|
79 | 79 | | 12 a school and is licensed under the Nurse Practice Act as a |
---|
80 | 80 | | 13 registered nurse, practical nurse, or advanced practice |
---|
81 | 81 | | 14 registered nurse. |
---|
82 | 82 | | 15 "Physician" means a physician licensed to practice |
---|
83 | 83 | | 16 medicine in all of its branches under the Medical Practice Act |
---|
84 | 84 | | 17 of 1987. |
---|
85 | 85 | | 18 "Physician assistant" means a physician assistant licensed |
---|
86 | 86 | | 19 under the Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987. |
