| 6 | 6 | | 4 Schneider of Sherman, who passed away on January 5, 2025; and |

| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Gerald Schneider was born to Rebecca (Kelly) and |

| 8 | 8 | | 6 Gerald Schneider in Springfield on December 16, 1977; he |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 married Sally "Sarah" Seitz on October 13, 2012; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 WHEREAS, Gerald Schneider began his career in law |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 enforcement at the Tri-City Police Department in December |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 1999; he then worked for the Sherman Police Department in |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 January 2008, where he served until December 2014; he |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 proceeded to join the Illinois Secretary of State Police in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 January 2015, working for the Capitol Division; he was |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2016, a position which |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 allowed him to serve and protect his community as an |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 16 invaluable member of the command staff; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 17 WHEREAS, Gerald Schneider's exceptional service to the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 18 community and the State of Illinois earned him several awards |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 19 and recognitions, including a Department Unit Citation and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 20 Department Commendation for his devoted efforts during his |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 21 career at the Illinois Secretary of State Police; and |
|---|
