SB0058 Engrossed LRB104 07758 HLH 17803 b
1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic
5 Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois
6 is amended by adding Section 605-1118 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 605/605-1118 new)
8 Sec. 605-1118. Technical assistance to regional
9 manufacturing partnerships. Subject to appropriation, the
10 Department shall develop a program of technical assistance in
11 support of regional manufacturing partnerships in
12 collaboration with the following:
13 (1) employer associations representing manufacturers;
14 (2) secondary and postsecondary institutions,
15 including public universities and community colleges; and
16 (3) workforce stakeholders, including local workforce
17 innovation boards and local workforce innovation areas.
18 The Department may enter into grants, contracts, or other
19 agreements to provide the assistance under this Section.
