| 12 | 12 | | 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| 14 | 14 | | 4 Section 5. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is |

| 15 | 15 | | 5 amended by changing Section 3.11 as follows: |

| 17 | 17 | | 7 Sec. 3.11. Free and reduced fare services. |

| 18 | 18 | | 8 (a) The Authority shall provide the Department of Public |

| 19 | 19 | | 9 Health with a monthly list of all riders that receive free or |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 10 reduced fares. The list shall include an individual's name, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 11 address, and date of birth. The Department of Public Health |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 12 shall, within 2 weeks after receipt of the list, report back to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 13 the Authority any discrepancies that indicate that a rider |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 14 receiving free or reduced fare services is deceased. The |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 15 Authority upon receipt of the report from the Department of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 16 Public Health shall take appropriate steps to remove any |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | 17 deceased individual's name from the list of individuals |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | 18 eligible under the free or reduced fare programs. |

| 29 | 29 | | 19 (b) By December 31, 2025, the Authority and Service Boards |

| 30 | 30 | | 20 shall create a program to provide free rides to persons |
