88 1 AN ACT concerning appropriations.
99 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1010 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1111 4 Section 5. The sum of $4,000,000, or so much thereof as may
1212 5 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
1313 6 the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for grants
1414 7 to certified convention bureaus for the development of
1515 8 tourism, education, preservation, and promotion of the 100th
1616 9 anniversary of Route 66, of which not more than $500,000 shall
1717 10 be used for marketing expenses.
1818 11 Section 10. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as
1919 12 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
2020 13 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity
2121 14 for expenses relating to the Route 66 Centennial Celebration
2222 15 in accordance with the plan developed by the Illinois Route 66
2323 16 Centennial Commission.
2424 17 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
2525 18 2025.
