8	8	1 AN ACT concerning appropriations.
9	9	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
10	10	3 represented in the General Assembly:
11	11	4 Section 5. The sum of $4,000,000, or so much thereof as may
12	12	5 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
13	13	6 the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for grants
14	14	7 to certified convention bureaus for the development of
15	15	8 tourism, education, preservation, and promotion of the 100th
16	16	9 anniversary of Route 66, of which not more than $500,000 shall
17	17	10 be used for marketing expenses.
18	18	11 Section 10. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as
19	19	12 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
20	20	13 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity
21	21	14 for expenses relating to the Route 66 Centennial Celebration
22	22	15 in accordance with the plan developed by the Illinois Route 66
23	23	16 Centennial Commission.
24	24	17 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
