1 AN ACT concerning appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The sum of $4,000,000, or so much thereof as may
5 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
6 the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for grants
7 to certified convention bureaus for the development of
8 tourism, education, preservation, and promotion of the 100th
9 anniversary of Route 66, of which not more than $500,000 shall
10 be used for marketing expenses.
11 Section 10. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as
12 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
13 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity
14 for expenses relating to the Route 66 Centennial Celebration
15 in accordance with the plan developed by the Illinois Route 66
16 Centennial Commission.
17 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
18 2025.
