| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Jesse Elston was born in Chicago to Jesse and |

| 8 | 8 | | 6 Corrine Elston on August 1, 1946; while young, he was a member |

| 9 | 9 | | 7 of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Chicago and attended Forestville |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 Elementary School; he graduated from Dunbar High School in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 Chicago; he served in the United States Navy and received an |

| 12 | 12 | | 10 Honorable Discharge on January 10, 1969; he married Cassandra |

| 13 | 13 | | 11 Ward Holbert in August 2018; and |

| 14 | 14 | | 12 WHEREAS, Jesse Elston worked at the Calumet City Library; |

| 16 | 16 | | 14 WHEREAS, Jesse Elston was a devoted and loving husband, |

| 17 | 17 | | 15 father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend; he loved his |

| 19 | 19 | | 17 and Thornton Township community; he enjoyed bid whist, |

| 20 | 20 | | 18 watching football, traveling whenever possible, and barbequing |
