| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Gerald Borries, the son of Joseph E. "Specs" and |

| 8 | 8 | | 6 Harriet C. "Sis" (Pruemer) Borries, was born in Teutopolis on |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 July 7, 1949; he married Mary L. Roberts on July 6, 1985; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 WHEREAS, Gerald Borries worked on his family's farm, in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 the seed corn business, and on tractors; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 WHEREAS, Gerald Borries was a member of St. Francis of |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis and the St. Francis Men's |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 Sodality; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 WHEREAS, Gerald Borries enjoyed collecting tractors, and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 he was a strong supporter of the right-to-life movement and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 President Donald J. Trump; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 16 WHEREAS, Gerald Borries was preceded in death by his |

|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 18 WHEREAS, Gerald Borries is survived by his wife of 39 |
