1  SENATE RESOLUTION
2  WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3  to learn of the death of Mattie R. Luck of Springfield, who
4  passed away on January 28, 2025; and
5  WHEREAS, Mattie Luck was born in Springfield to Russel and
6  Mattie Lynn Anders on December 3, 1949; she married Ronnie
7  Luck on November 4, 1988; and
8  WHEREAS, Mattie Luck was a receptionist at St. John's
9  Hospital for many years; and
10  WHEREAS, Mattie Luck was a faithful and dedicated member
11  of East Keys Baptist Church in Springfield; in her free time,
12  she enjoyed her favorite hobby and passion of photography; and
13  WHEREAS, Mattie Luck was preceded in death by her parents;
14  her sister, Letha Houston; and her brother, Richard F. Anders;
15  and
16  WHEREAS, Mattie Luck is survived by her husband, Ronnie;
17  her daughter, Michelle Bartolazzi; her stepdaughter, Debra
18  (Brad) Geuther; her stepson, Ken (Gwen) Luck; her
19  grandchildren, Jade Geuther, Nigel Lizarraga, Garrett Luck,
20  and Jenna Luck; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Joan

2  Joe; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be

4  RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
5  ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6  Mattie R. Luck and extend our sincere condolences to her
7  family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
