| 5 | 5 | | 3 to learn of the death of Charles L. Sexton of Mechanicsburg, |

| 6 | 6 | | 4 who passed away on February 1, 2025; and |

| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Charles Sexton, the son of Homer C. and Eva |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 6 (Skinner) Sexton, was born in Dawson on July 17, 1936; he |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 served in the U.S. Air Force, where he was stationed at Forbes |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas with temporary duty |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 assignments at Eilson Air Force Base in Alaska and Goose Bay |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 Air Force Base in Labrador, and he was discharged with the rank |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 of A/1C; he married Dorothy I. Smith at the Mechanicsburg |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 Christian Church in Mechanicsburg on November 24, 1961; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 WHEREAS, Charles Sexton worked for the Office of the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 Secretary of the State of Illinois, retiring on December 31, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 1997; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 16 WHEREAS, Charles Sexton was a member of Carlock Lodge #904 |

| 19 | 19 | | 17 A.F and A.M of Mechanicsburg, and he served on the Board of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 18 Trustees for the Village of Mechanicsburg; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 19 WHEREAS, Charles Sexton was preceded in death by his wife, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 20 Dorothy; his parents; his brothers, Forrest W. "Mike" Sexton |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 21 and Homer C. Sexton, Jr.; and his sisters, V. Lorraine Sexton |
