1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 congratulate Heather Way Kitzes as she departs from her
4 position as Director of Government and Community Affairs for
5 the Chicago Cubs on April 18, 2025; and
6 WHEREAS, Heather Way Kitzes has been a friendly and
7 familiar face to residents and the businesses of the 6th
8 District in her ten years with the Cubs; she has been a leader
9 at community meetings, Gallagher Way events, and school
10 gatherings, and she has been a passionate advocate for
11 neighbors, local business, schools, the Chicago police and
12 fire departments, and all who comprise the fabric of the
13 community; and
14 WHEREAS, Heather Way Kites' tireless efforts have created
15 strong community relationships; her upbeat, collaborative
16 approach has made a lasting difference in the community, which
17 was reflected in the East Lake View Neighbors naming the
18 Chicago Cubs the recipient of its 2019 Neighbor of the Year
19 Award; therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate
22 Heather Way Kitzes on her accomplishments and contributions,
