3131 A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning

3333 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
3434 1 SECTION 1. IC 9-13-2-6.4 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
3535 2 AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY
3636 3 1, 2023]: Sec. 6.4. "Automated vehicle" means a motor vehicle in
3737 4 which at least one (1) aspect of a safety critical control function
3838 5 occurs without direct input from an individual driving the motor
3939 6 vehicle.
4040 7 SECTION 2. IC 9-13-2-74.3 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
