A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
education.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
1 SECTION 1. IC 20-28-5-28 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
2 AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY
3 1, 2023]: Sec. 28. (a) As used in this section, "emergency permit"
4 refers to an emergency permit described in 511 IAC 16-4-1 or its
5 successor rule.
6 (b) Beginning July 1, 2023, an emergency permit may be
7 renewed annually for not more than three (3) consecutive years.
