| 12 | 12 | | I offer the following resolution and move its adoption: |

| 14 | 14 | | 2 Metropolitan Military Honor Guard (IMMHG). |

| 15 | 15 | | 3 Whereas, The Indianapolis Metropolitan Military Honor |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 4 Guard (IMMHG) was established on September 22, 2014, by |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 5 respectable military service veteran volunteers who work hard |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 6 each day in rendering military honors for our veterans; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 7 Whereas, The IMMHG has served as an authorized |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 8 provider of military funeral honors by the United States |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 9 Department of Defense, performing an estimated 3,372 funeral |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 10 services and rites for local veterans since 2014; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 11 Whereas, With an active roster of 25 veterans, IMMHG |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 12 members have accrued an estimated 92,771 volunteer hours, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 13 477,166 drive miles, and have fired over 30,348 rounds of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 14 ammunition throughout their volunteer work; |

| 27 | 27 | | 15 Whereas, In addition to services and rites, IMMHG has |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | 16 provided 77 other services, including posting the colors and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 17 flag-folding ceremonies, among other volunteer efforts at |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 18 special events; |

| 33 | 33 | | 2 military volleys at the new Crown Hill Columbarium National |

| 35 | 35 | | 4 Whereas, It is fitting that the Indiana Senate honors the |

| 36 | 36 | | 5 IMMHG for their commitment to rendering military honors to |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 6 all veterans regardless of religion, race, or affiliation with a |

| 38 | 38 | | 7 veteran's service organization: Therefore, |

| 39 | 39 | | 8 Be it resolved by the Senate of the |

| 40 | 40 | | 9 General Assembly of the State of Indiana: |

| 41 | 41 | | 10 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate honors the |

| 42 | 42 | | 11 Indianapolis Metropolitan Military Honor Guard. |
