Summary of Legislation: The bill requires county council review and approval of the Lake County
convention and visitor bureau annual budget.
Effective Date:  July 1, 2024.
Explanation of State Expenditures: 
Explanation of State Revenues: 
Explanation of Local Expenditures: The bill will increase the workload of the county council by
potentially requiring additional meetings and/or additional time at regularly scheduled meetings to review
and approve the budget prepared by the Lake County convention and visitor bureau.
The bill’s requirements are within the agency’s routine administrative functions and should be able to be
implemented with no additional appropriations, assuming near customary agency staffing and resource levels.
