3434 A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning

3636 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
3737 1 SECTION 1. IC 9-13-2-6.2 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
3838 2 AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY
3939 3 1, 2024]: Sec. 6.2. "Automated commercial motor vehicle" means
4040 4 a commercial motor vehicle with respect to which at least one (1)
4141 5 aspect of a safety critical control function of the commercial motor
4242 6 vehicle occurs without direct input from an individual operating
4343 7 the commercial motor vehicle.
4444 8 SECTION 2. IC 9-13-2-31.1 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
