1515 1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION recognizing the
1616 2 National FFA Organization and the Indiana FFA Association
1717 3 for exemplary work in the advancement of agricultural
1818 4 education in Indiana and across the country.
1919 5 Whereas, The National FFA Organization, established in
2020 6 1928, and the Indiana FFA Association, established in 1929,
2121 7 were created to prepare future generations for the challenges
2222 8 of feeding a growing population;
2323 9 Whereas, The National FFA, which encompasses all 50
2424 10 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, represents
2525 11 more than 945,000 members and 9,150 chapters, while Indiana
2626 12 FFA membership has grown to more than 14,000 members and
2727 13 228 chapters;
2828 14 Whereas, Both organizations have become dynamic youth
2929 15 bodies with a mission to change lives and prepare members for
3030 16 premier leadership, personal growth, and career success
3131 17 through agricultural education;
3232 18 Whereas, FFA accomplishes this mission by developing
3333 19 agricultural leaders, increasing awareness of the importance
3434 20 of agriculture, strengthening the confidence of students
3535 21 involved, promoting the choice of agriculture as a career,
3636 22 encouraging agricultural experience programs, highlighting
3737 23 wise management of community resources, developing
3838 24 members' interpersonal skills and character, promoting
3939 25 cooperation and healthy lifestyles, and encouraging excellence

4242 1 Whereas, The members of FFA, through living by the motto
4343 2 "Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to
4444 3 Serve," are able to put the leadership skills they develop into
4545 4 action and are empowered to make a positive impact in their
4646 5 communities; and
4747 6 Whereas, FFA Week started in 1947 as an opportunity for
4848 7 members, alumni, and sponsors to commend and advocate for
4949 8 agricultural education, and will be celebrated this year from
5050 9 February 17-24: Therefore,
5151 10 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly
5252 11 of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives
5353 12 concurring:
5454 13 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly
5555 14 recognizes the National FFA Organization and the Indiana FFA
5656 15 Association for exemplary work in the advancement of
5757 16 agricultural education in Indiana and across the country.
5858 17 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
5959 18 to transmit copies of this Resolution to Indiana FFA state

6161 20 Conner Keeslar, Northern-Region Vice-President; Blaine
6262 21 Wagner, Southern-Region Vice President; Carson Rudd,
