15	15	1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION recognizing the
16	16	2 National FFA Organization and the Indiana FFA Association
17	17	3 for exemplary work in the advancement of agricultural
18	18	4 education in Indiana and across the country.
19	19	5 Whereas, The National FFA Organization, established in
20	20	6 1928, and the Indiana FFA Association, established in 1929,
21	21	7 were created to prepare future generations for the challenges
22	22	8 of feeding a growing population;
23	23	9 Whereas, The National FFA, which encompasses all 50
24	24	10 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, represents
25	25	11 more than 945,000 members and 9,150 chapters, while Indiana
26	26	12 FFA membership has grown to more than 14,000 members and
27	27	13 228 chapters;
28	28	14 Whereas, Both organizations have become dynamic youth
29	29	15 bodies with a mission to change lives and prepare members for
30	30	16 premier leadership, personal growth, and career success
31	31	17 through agricultural education;
32	32	18 Whereas, FFA accomplishes this mission by developing
33	33	19 agricultural leaders, increasing awareness of the importance
34	34	20 of agriculture, strengthening the confidence of students
35	35	21 involved, promoting the choice of agriculture as a career,
36	36	22 encouraging agricultural experience programs, highlighting
37	37	23 wise management of community resources, developing
38	38	24 members' interpersonal skills and character, promoting
39	39	25 cooperation and healthy lifestyles, and encouraging excellence
40	40	26 in scholarship;

42	42	1 Whereas, The members of FFA, through living by the motto
43	43	2 "Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to
44	44	3 Serve," are able to put the leadership skills they develop into
45	45	4 action and are empowered to make a positive impact in their
46	46	5 communities; and
47	47	6 Whereas, FFA Week started in 1947 as an opportunity for
48	48	7 members, alumni, and sponsors to commend and advocate for
49	49	8 agricultural education, and will be celebrated this year from
50	50	9 February 17-24: Therefore,
51	51	10 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly
52	52	11 of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives
53	53	12 concurring:
54	54	13 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly
55	55	14 recognizes the National FFA Organization and the Indiana FFA
56	56	15 Association for exemplary work in the advancement of
57	57	16 agricultural education in Indiana and across the country.
58	58	17 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
59	59	18 to transmit copies of this Resolution to Indiana FFA state
60	60	19 officers Kelby Roberts, President; Madalyn Denton, Secretary;
61	61	20 Conner Keeslar, Northern-Region Vice-President; Blaine
62	62	21 Wagner, Southern-Region Vice President; Carson Rudd,
63	63	22 Reporter; Caden Sixberry, Treasurer; and Tanner Weakley,
64	64	23 Sentinel.
