SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1 A SENATE RESOLUTION celebrating the 175th
2 anniversary of Warsaw Masonic Lodge #73.
3 Whereas, Freemasonry, the oldest and largest fraternal
4 organization in America, is an ancient and honorable
5 institution that has endeavored, from time immemorial, to
6 inculcate in its members the tenets of Duty to our Country,
7 Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth for the betterment of the
8 communities it serves;
9 Whereas, On May 30, 1849, Freemasonry was first
10 established in Kosciusko County when Warsaw Masonic Lodge
11 #73 was chartered by the Grand Lodge of Indiana, making
12 Warsaw Masonic Lodge #73 the oldest institution still in
13 existence in Warsaw, Indiana;
14 Whereas, Freemasonry has made significant contributions
15 to the social and cultural life of Warsaw, Kosciusko County,
16 Northeast Indiana, and the United States, with several of the
17 Founding Fathers of our nation, the State of Indiana,
18 Kosciusko County, and the City of Warsaw proudly counted
19 among Freemasonry's membership rolls; and

1 Whereas, On May 30, 2024, Warsaw Masonic Lodge #73
2 will celebrate 175 years in existence: Therefore,

4 Be it resolved by the Senate of the
5 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
6 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate recognizes and
7 celebrates the 175th anniversary of the founding of Warsaw
8 Masonic Lodge #73.
9 SECTION 2. That the Secretary of the Senate is hereby
10 directed to transmit copies of this Resolution to Panos Niarchos
11 and Terrence Roe of Warsaw Masonic Lodge #73.
