19 | 19 | | 5 Whereas, St. Luke's Community for Contemplation and |

20 | 20 | | 6 Justice weaves together opportunities for deep internal |
---|
21 | 21 | | 7 discovery and the seeking of justice for all creation; |

22 | 22 | | 8 Whereas, St. Luke's various ministries actively work toward |
---|
23 | 23 | | 9 combating racism, protecting the environment, and seeking |
---|
24 | 24 | | 10 social justice by creating and participating in programs |

25 | 25 | | 11 tailored to these goals; |

26 | 26 | | 12 Whereas, St. Luke's Social Action Committee meets semi- |

27 | 27 | | 13 monthly with local leaders and congregation members to |

28 | 28 | | 14 discuss topics such as addressing gun violence, homelessness, |

29 | 29 | | 15 eviction, immigration, juvenile justice, mass incarceration, |

31 | 31 | | 17 Whereas, St. Luke's Creation Care Ministry meets monthly |

32 | 32 | | 18 to discuss ways to care for the Earth, such as recycling |

53 | 53 | | 19 United Methodist Church and their Creation Care Ministry as |

54 | 54 | | 20 groups that work toward the betterment of Indiana and its |
