13 | 13 | | I offer the following resolution and move its adoption: |

14 | 14 | | 1 A SENATE RESOLUTION to recognize the Concerned |

15 | 15 | | 2 Clergy of Indianapolis for their constant advocacy on behalf of |

16 | 16 | | 3 the most vulnerable. |

17 | 17 | | 4 Whereas, The Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis is a |
---|
18 | 18 | | 5 fellowship of pastors and other concerned citizens who are |
---|
19 | 19 | | 6 God-fearing people who believe injustice, racism, ageism, |
---|
20 | 20 | | 7 classism, and sexism to be contrary to the will of God; |
---|
21 | 21 | | 8 Whereas, The Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis are |
---|
22 | 22 | | 9 activists who work to develop ways to eliminate injustices that |
---|
23 | 23 | | 10 are inflicted upon people by economic, political, legal, and |
---|
24 | 24 | | 11 educational systems; |
---|
25 | 25 | | 12 Whereas, The Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis has been |
---|
26 | 26 | | 13 at the forefront advocating for early childhood education, |
---|
27 | 27 | | 14 public schools, affordable housing, criminal justice reform, |
---|
28 | 28 | | 15 mental health, and stopping the school to prison pipeline; |
---|
29 | 29 | | 16 Whereas, The actions of Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis |
---|
30 | 30 | | 17 have helped keep grocery stores and jobs in the community and |
---|
31 | 31 | | 18 supported equality of opportunity for local employment; |

36 | 36 | | 4 Whereas, The Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis are |

37 | 37 | | 5 committed to their purpose to be God's active and vocal |

38 | 38 | | 6 instrument in calling on these systems to pursue justice and the |

39 | 39 | | 7 welfare of all citizens: Therefore, |

40 | 40 | | 8 Be it resolved by the Senate of the |

41 | 41 | | 9 General Assembly of the State of Indiana: |

43 | 43 | | 11 Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis for their constant advocacy |
