Tabernacle Christian School girls basketball team on winning
the 2024 Indiana Association of Christian Schools ("IACS")
state championship title.

SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1 A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating the Martinsville
2 Tabernacle Christian School girls basketball team on winning
3 the 2024 Indiana Association of Christian Schools ("IACS")
4 state championship title.
5 Whereas, The Martinsville Tabernacle Christian School
6 girls basketball team capped off their season at Crosspointe
7 Christian Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana, by winning their
8 sixth consecutive IACS state championship title;
9 Whereas, The Martinsville Tabernacle Eagles advanced to
10 the state championship against Colonial Christian School after
11 overpowering Community Baptist Christian School 61-22 in the
12 semifinal game, where Senior Annie Sichting scored 29 points
13 during the semifinal game, the last of which was her 2000th
14 point in her varsity career;
15 Whereas, During the championship game, seniors Mariah
16 McClure, Marianna Natareno, and Madeline Walker and junior
17 Hallie Brummett contributed to the suffocating defense that
18 held Colonial Christian School's leading scorer to only 8
19 points;

1 Whereas, The Martinsville Tabernacle Eagles, the #1
2 seeded team in the tournament, defeated Colonial Christian
3 School 48-35, lead to victory by top scorers Senior Annie
4 Sichting and Freshman Liz Southerland; and
5 Whereas, The Martinsville Tabernacle Eagles completed
6 their 2023-2024 season with an impressive overall record of
7 19-4: Therefore,
8 Be it resolved by the Senate of the
9 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
10 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate congratulates the
11 Martinsville Tabernacle Christian School girls basketball team
12 on winning the 2024 Indiana Association of Christian Schools
13 ("IACS") state championship title.
14 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
15 to transmit copies of this Resolution to each member of the
16 Martinsville Tabernacle Christian School girls basketball team.
