| 14 | 14 | | 2 years of service to the City of Madison. |

| 15 | 15 | | 3 Whereas, David Carlow was born in 1956 to Paul and |

| 16 | 16 | | 4 Margaret Carlow and graduated from Madison Consolidated |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 5 High School in 1975; |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 6 Whereas, Even before his high school graduation, David |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 7 Carlow served his community, starting as a volunteer |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 8 firefighter for Western Fire Company No. 3 in December of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 9 1974; |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 10 Whereas, Over his 50 years of volunteer service, David has |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 11 earned various certifications from the Indiana Board of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 12 Firefighting Personnel Standards and Education, including |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 13 Fire Officer II, Haz-Mat Technician, and Master Firefighter - |

| 26 | 26 | | 14 Strategy and Tactics; |

| 27 | 27 | | 15 Whereas, In addition to five decades as a volunteer |

| 28 | 28 | | 16 firefighter, David has served the City of Madison as Assistant |

| 29 | 29 | | 17 City Fire Chief, City Council President, and member of the |

| 30 | 30 | | 18 Board of Public Works and Safety; and |
