48 | 48 | | 1 Sec. 2. (a) The state department shall establish and administer |
---|
49 | 49 | | 2 the telephone assistance line for mothers program for the purpose |
---|
50 | 50 | | 3 of helping mothers who are experiencing behavioral health issues |
---|
51 | 51 | | 4 to connect with health care providers to obtain behavioral health |
---|
52 | 52 | | 5 resources. |
---|
53 | 53 | | 6 (b) The state department shall employ at least the following for |
---|
54 | 54 | | 7 the program: |
---|
55 | 55 | | 8 (1) A psychiatrist licensed under IC 25-22.5. |
---|
56 | 56 | | 9 (2) A psychologist licensed under IC 25-33. |
---|
57 | 57 | | 10 Sec. 3. The program must include the operation of a dedicated |
---|
58 | 58 | | 11 telephone number Monday through Friday from at least 8 a.m. |
---|
59 | 59 | | 12 until 5 p.m. that serves as the entry point to the program for health |
---|
60 | 60 | | 13 care providers to be able to connect available services for a mother |
---|
61 | 61 | | 14 with behavioral health concerns. Services must include the |
---|
62 | 62 | | 15 following: |
---|
63 | 63 | | 16 (1) An immediate clinical consultation over the telephone. |
---|
64 | 64 | | 17 (2) An expedited face-to-face behavioral health consultation. |
---|
65 | 65 | | 18 (3) Care coordination for assistance with referrals to |
---|
66 | 66 | | 19 community behavioral health services. |
---|
67 | 67 | | 20 Sec. 4. The state department shall provide professional |
---|
68 | 68 | | 21 continuing education on behavioral health matters for health care |
---|
69 | 69 | | 22 providers employed by the program. |
