HOUSE BILL No. 1484 A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning higher education. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana: 1 SECTION 1. IC 21-27-11 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE 2 AS A NEW CHAPTER TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE 3 JULY 1, 2025]: 4 Chapter 11. State Educational Institution Prohibitions 5 Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "speaker series" means a series 6 of speakers invited to a state educational institution campus to 7 lecture, speak, or present on a topic. 8 Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, "state educational institution 9 funds" refers to any of the following sources of funding provided 10 to a state educational institution: 11 (1) Appropriations from the general assembly. 12 (2) Funds received from tuition. 13 (3) Funds received from mandatory student fees. 14 Sec. 3.
