21	21	3 Whereas, The Professional Fire Fighters Union of Indiana
22	22	4 (PFFUI) was chartered on January 4, 1935, by the

25	25	1 International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), officially
26	26	2 forming the state association;
27	27	3 Whereas, The PFFUI has continued its steadfast commitment
28	28	4 to the mission of advocating for the professional interests of
29	29	5 9,000 members across 96 affiliate locals statewide;
30	30	6 Whereas, The PFFUI has been a steadfast leader in ensuring
31	31	7 that Indiana's career fire fighters, paramedics, and 911
32	32	8 telecommunicators are appropriately equipped, trained, and
33	33	9 supported to respond to the emergencies of the citizens of
34	34	10 Indiana;
35	35	11 Whereas, The PFFUI has been a leader in advocating for
36	36	12 legislation that enhances fire fighter health, safety, and
37	37	13 wellness;
38	38	14 Whereas, Throughout its 90 years, the PFFUI has been
39	39	15 instrumental in shaping public policy, advancing fire fighter
40	40	16 safety standards, and building strong partnerships with fire
41	41	17 departments, communities, and government officials to improve
42	42	18 fire and emergency response services across the state of
43	43	19 Indiana;
44	44	20 Whereas, The PFFUI's commitment to professionalism,
45	45	21 service, and unity has earned the respect and admiration of its
46	46	22 members, leaders, and the citizens of Indiana, making it a
47	47	23 cornerstone of public safety advocacy in the state; and
48	48	24 Whereas, As the PFFUI celebrates this remarkable
49	49	25 milestone, it continues to build on this proud legacy, ensuring
50	50	26 that future generations of fire fighters are supported, protected,
51	51	27 and equipped to meet the challenges of the communities they
52	52	28 serve: Therefore,
53	53	29 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the
54	54	30 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
55	55	31 SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives
56	56	32 acknowledges the many contributions and accomplishments of
57	57	33 the Professional Fire Fighters Union of Indiana throughout the
58	58	34 state of Indiana.
