2 of the Professional Fire Fighters Union of Indiana.
3 Whereas, The Professional Fire Fighters Union of Indiana
4 (PFFUI) was chartered on January 4, 1935, by the

1 International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), officially
2 forming the state association;
3 Whereas, The PFFUI has continued its steadfast commitment
4 to the mission of advocating for the professional interests of
5 9,000 members across 96 affiliate locals statewide;
6 Whereas, The PFFUI has been a steadfast leader in ensuring
7 that Indiana's career fire fighters, paramedics, and 911
8 telecommunicators are appropriately equipped, trained, and
9 supported to respond to the emergencies of the citizens of
10 Indiana;
11 Whereas, The PFFUI has been a leader in advocating for
12 legislation that enhances fire fighter health, safety, and
13 wellness;
14 Whereas, Throughout its 90 years, the PFFUI has been
15 instrumental in shaping public policy, advancing fire fighter
16 safety standards, and building strong partnerships with fire
17 departments, communities, and government officials to improve
18 fire and emergency response services across the state of
19 Indiana;
20 Whereas, The PFFUI's commitment to professionalism,
21 service, and unity has earned the respect and admiration of its
22 members, leaders, and the citizens of Indiana, making it a
23 cornerstone of public safety advocacy in the state; and
24 Whereas, As the PFFUI celebrates this remarkable
25 milestone, it continues to build on this proud legacy, ensuring
26 that future generations of fire fighters are supported, protected,
27 and equipped to meet the challenges of the communities they
28 serve: Therefore,
29 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the
30 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
31 SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives
32 acknowledges the many contributions and accomplishments of
33 the Professional Fire Fighters Union of Indiana throughout the
34 state of Indiana.

1 SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
2 Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to State
3 Representative Mitch Gore for distribution.
