Requires that the majority ownership of a physician group practice be
licensed physicians in Indiana. 
Effective:  July 1, 2025.

SENATE BILL No. 243
A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
professions and occupations.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
1 SECTION 1. IC 25-22.5-1-1.8 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA
2 CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS
3 [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025]: Sec. 1.8. (a) This section applies
4 beginning July 1, 2026.
5 (b) The majority of the ownership of a physician group practice
6 must consist of physicians licensed under this article.
