20 | 20 | | 6 1928, and the Indiana FFA Association, established in 1929, |

21 | 21 | | 7 were created to prepare future generations for the challenges |

22 | 22 | | 8 of feeding a growing population; |

23 | 23 | | 9 Whereas, The National FFA Organization, which |

24 | 24 | | 10 encompasses all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin |
---|
25 | 25 | | 11 Islands, represents more than one million members in 9,235 |
---|
26 | 26 | | 12 chapters, while the Indiana FFA membership has grown to over |

27 | 27 | | 13 14,000 members and 230 chapters; |
---|
28 | 28 | | 14 Whereas, Both organizations have become dynamic youth |
---|
29 | 29 | | 15 organizations with a mission to change lives and prepare |
---|
30 | 30 | | 16 members for premier leadership, personal growth, and career |
---|
31 | 31 | | 17 success through agricultural education; |

32 | 32 | | 18 Whereas, FFA accomplishes this mission by developing |

33 | 33 | | 19 agricultural leaders, increasing awareness of the importance |

34 | 34 | | 20 of agriculture, strengthening the confidence of students |

35 | 35 | | 21 involved, promoting the choice of agriculture as a career, |

51 | 51 | | 12 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly |

55 | 55 | | 16 recognizes the National FFA Organization and the Indiana FFA |

58 | 58 | | 19 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed |
