1313 1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring the 100th
1414 2 anniversary of the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association.
1515 3 Whereas, Founded in 1925, the Indiana Podiatric Medical
1616 4 Association (IPMA) was organized for the purpose of
1717 5 improving the standards of the podiatric medical profession,
1818 6 cultivating the various arts and sciences of podiatric medicine,
1919 7 and encouraging continued education of practicing podiatrists;
2020 8 Whereas, The IPMA has been and continues to be a
2121 9 cornerstone in the advancement and support of the podiatric
2222 10 profession by providing important resources for podiatrists,
2323 11 advocating on behalf of the best interests of podiatrists, and
2424 12 promoting the public's health across the State of Indiana;
2525 13 Whereas, The IPMA has over 200 members currently,
2626 14 whose skills are in increasing demand in part because foot
2727 15 disorders are among the most widespread and neglected health
2828 16 problems affecting people across the country;
2929 17 Whereas, It is estimated that more than seventy-five percent
3030 18 of Americans will experience foot problems of varying degrees
3131 19 of seriousness at some point in their lives; and
3232 20 Whereas, For the past 100 years, Indiana's podiatrists have
3333 21 provided a professional solution to these problems and have
3434 22 improved the health and quality of life for the citizens of
3535 23 Indiana: Therefore,
3636 24 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly

3838 1 of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives
3939 2 concurring:
4040 3 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly honors
4141 4 and congratulates the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association on
4242 5 its 100th anniversary and thanks the association members for
4343 6 the work they do to advance the science and practice of
4444 7 podiatric medicine in Indiana.
4545 8 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
4646 9 to transmit copies of this Resolution to Dr. Nathan Graves,
4747 10 DPM, President of the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association.
