BECKER , read first time and referred to Committee on 2025 RC 1520/DI JR Introduced First Regular Session 124th General Assembly (2025) SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION No. _____ 1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring the 100th 2 anniversary of the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association. 3 Whereas, Founded in 1925, the Indiana Podiatric Medical 4 Association (IPMA) was organized for the purpose of 5 improving the standards of the podiatric medical profession, 6 cultivating the various arts and sciences of podiatric medicine, 7 and encouraging continued education of practicing podiatrists; 8 Whereas, The IPMA has been and continues to be a 9 cornerstone in the advancement and support of the podiatric 10 profession by providing important resources for podiatrists, 11 advocating on behalf of the best interests of podiatrists, and 12 promoting the public's health across the State of Indiana; 13 Whereas, The IPMA has over 200 members currently, 14 whose skills are in increasing demand in part because foot 15 disorders are among the most widespread and neglected health 16 problems affecting people across the country; 17 Whereas, It is estimated that more than seventy-five percent 18 of Americans will experience foot problems of varying degrees 19 of seriousness at some point in their lives; and 20 Whereas, For the past 100 years, Indiana's podiatrists have 21 provided a professional solution to these problems and have 22 improved the health and quality of life for the citizens of 23 Indiana: Therefore, 24 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly 2025 RC 1520/DI JR 2 1 of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives 2 concurring: 3 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly honors 4 and congratulates the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association on 5 its 100th anniversary and thanks the association members for 6 the work they do to advance the science and practice of 7 podiatric medicine in Indiana. 8 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed 9 to transmit copies of this Resolution to Dr. Nathan Graves, 10 DPM, President of the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association. 2025 RC 1520/DI JR
