| 13 | 13 | | I offer the following resolution and move its adoption: |

| 14 | 14 | | 1 A SENATE RESOLUTION to honor Indy Gateway for |

| 15 | 15 | | 2 their efforts in ensuring long-term sustainability on the west |

| 16 | 16 | | 3 side of Indianapolis. |

| 17 | 17 | | 4 Whereas, Indy Gateway began in 2015 as a group of people |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 5 who love the west side of Indianapolis and are dedicated to the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 6 area's viability; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 7 Whereas, Indy Gateway is focused on five community |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 8 initiatives: affordable housing, infrastructure, quality of life, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 9 economic development, and resources; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 10 Whereas, Affordable housing is a community issue, and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 11 Indy Gateway is committed to promoting affordable quality |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 12 options so more people can experience the west side as a place |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 13 to live, work, and raise a family; |

| 27 | 27 | | 14 Whereas, Indy Gateway advocates for infrastructure |

| 28 | 28 | | 15 improvements - from the expansion of the Blue Line to |

| 29 | 29 | | 16 completing streets and bike paths; |

| 30 | 30 | | 17 Whereas, Indy Gateway works to provide access to quality |

| 41 | 41 | | 9 Whereas, With many of Indy Gateway's members active in |

| 42 | 42 | | 10 civic leadership, the organization naturally has access to |

| 47 | 47 | | 15 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate recognizes the |

| 48 | 48 | | 16 ongoing efforts of the Indy Gateway organization. |
