AN ACT relating to public utilities. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 278 IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
(1) Within ninety (90) days of the effective date of this Act, the commission shall 5
open an administrative case to initiate an investigation into reducing the volatility 6
of fuel adjustment clause charges on electric utility bills for customers of electric 7
utilities subject to the commission's jurisdiction. 8
(2) Within sixty (60) days of issuing an order with its findings in the administrative 9
case required by subsection (1) of this section, the commission shall promulgate 10
administrative regulations under KRS Chapter 13A to implement any changes it 11
has prescribed to reduce the volatility of fuel adjustment clause charges on 12
electric utility bills. 13
