DISTRICTS/AIRPORT: Revises membership of the board of commissioners of the Greater
Baton Rouge Airport District
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact Section 3(C)(1) of Act No. 151 of the 1969 Regular Session of the2
Legislature, as amended by Act No. 551 of the 1984 Regular Session of the3
Legislature, and as amended by Act No. 91 of the 1995 Regular Session of the4
Legislature, relative to the board of commissioners for the Greater Baton Rouge5
Airport District; to add a designated state representative district; and to provide for6
related matters.7
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8
Section 1. Section 3(C)(1) of Act No. 151 of the 1969 Regular Session of the9
Legislature, as amended by Act No. 551 of the 1984 Regular Session of the Legislature, and10
as amended by Act No. 91 of the 1995 Regular Session of the Legislature, is hereby11
amended and reenacted to read as follows:12

C.(1) Subject to the provisions of Section 5 hereof, there is hereby further15
created and established a board of commissioners (hereinafter called the16
commission) composed of thirteen the following members. Nine members shall be17
from East Baton Rouge Parish, appointed by the authority, and shall serve terms18
designated by the authority. Such appointees shall be qualified electors in and own19
property assessed in East Baton Rouge Parish, and may be members of the city20
council of the city of Baton Rouge or the parish council of the parish of East Baton21 HLS 12RS-280 REENGROSSED

Rouge. The state senators from state senatorial districts fourteen and fifteen, or their1
designees, and the state representatives from state representative districts twenty-2
nine, sixty-three, and sixty-four, or their designees shall serve as ex officio members3
of the commission with all voting rights and privileges afforded to other members4
of the commission. They shall serve terms concurrent with their term of elected5
office. Appointment of a designee shall be at the discretion of the legislator and shall6
be in writing transmitted to the commission. The appointing legislator may be7
represented at a meeting of the commission only by his duly appointed designee or8
himself. A legislator may only have have only one designee at a time. A designee9
shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing legislator and may be terminated at any10
time. No subsequent appointment of a designee shall be permitted unless the11
previous appointed designee has resigned or otherwise been terminated, and such12
resignation or termination shall be transmitted in writing to the commission.13
