FUNDS/FUNDING:  Provides for the distribution of the monies in the Shreveport
Riverfront and Convention Center and Independence Stadium Fund
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 47:302.2(C)(1)(b), relative to the Shreveport Riverfront and2
Convention Center and Independence Stadium Fund; to provide for the allocation of3
monies in the fund; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related4
matters.5
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published6
as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of7
Louisiana.8
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:9
Section 1. R.S. 47:302.2(C)(1)(b) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as10
follows: 11
ยง302.2.  Disposition of certain collections in the city of Shreveport12

C. Subject to an annual appropriation by the legislature, monies in the fund14
shall be used as follows:15
(1) For allocation from all monies in the fund in the following amounts:16

(b)  Three percent for African-American Multi-Cultural Tourism Commission18
Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce.19

Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor1
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,2
2014, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.3

Abstract: Changes allocations of the monies in the Shreveport Riverfront and Convention
Center and Independence Stadium Fund from the African-American Multi-Cultural
Tourism Commission to the Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber of
Commerce.
Present law provides for the distribution of monies in the Shreveport Riverfront and
Convention Center and Independence Stadium Fund. Provides that 3% of monies in the fund
shall be allocated to the African-American Multi-Cultural Tourism Commission.
Proposed law changes present law 3% allocation from the African-American Multi-Cultural
Tourism Commission to the Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce.
Effective on July 1, 2014.
