Regular Session, 2014 HOUSE BILL NO. 98 BY REPRESENTATIVE PATRICK WILLIAMS FUNDS/FUNDING: Provides for the distribution of the monies in the Shreveport Riverfront and Convention Center and Independence Stadium Fund AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 47:302.2(C)(1)(b), relative to the Shreveport Riverfront and2 Convention Center and Independence Stadium Fund; to provide for the allocation of3 monies in the fund; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related4 matters.5 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published6 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of7 Louisiana.8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:9 Section 1. R.S. 47:302.2(C)(1)(b) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as10 follows: 11 ยง302.2. Disposition of certain collections in the city of Shreveport12 * * *13 C. Present law provides for the distribution of monies in the Shreveport Riverfront and Convention Center and Independence Stadium Fund. Provides that 3% of monies in the fund shall be allocated to the African-American Multi-Cultural Tourism Commission. Proposed law changes present law 3% allocation from the African-American Multi-Cultural Tourism Commission to the Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce. Effective on July 1, 2014. (Amends R.S. 47:302.2(C)(1)(b))
