APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Henrey Clark & Denise Ramsey v. State of Louisiana, through the
Department of Transportation and Development, Lafayette City Parish Consolidated
Government"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Henrey Clark and
4 Denise Ramsey v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and
5 Development, Lafayette City Parish Consolidated Government"; and to provide for
6 related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand and No/100
9($276,000.00) Dollars in favor of Plaintiffs, Henrey Clark and Denise Ramsey, is hereby
10appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to
11be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Henrey Clark and Denise Ramsey
12v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development, Lafayette
13City Parish Consolidated Government", bearing Number 2011-2634 "D" on the docket of
14the Fifteenth Judicial District Court, parish of Lafayette, state of Louisiana.
15 Section 2. The sum of Fifty Thousand and No/100 ($50,000.00) Dollars in favor of
16Intervenor, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, is hereby appropriated out of the
17General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to be used to pay the
18consent judgment in the suit entitled "Henrey Clark and Denise Ramsey v. State of
19Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development, Lafayette City

1Parish Consolidated Government", bearing Number 2011-2634 "D" on the docket of the
2Fifteenth Judicial District Court, parish of Lafayette, state of Louisiana.
3 Section 3. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
4and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
52016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
