1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 37:1164(2)(b), relative to the Louisiana Pharmacy Practice Act;
3 to provide with respect to colleges of pharmacy; to define "approved college of
4 pharmacy"; to specify the means by which the college of pharmacy may be approved
5 by the board; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 37:1164(2)(b) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
8 ยง1164. Definitions
9 As used in this Chapter, the following terms have the meaning ascribed to
10 them by this Section:

12 (2) "Approved college of pharmacy" means an educational institution
13 approved by the board which meets one of the following additional criteria:

15 (b) A foreign college or school of pharmacy which is listed in the World
16 Health Organization's "World Directory of Schools of Pharmacy" and whose

1 graduate has attained educational equivalency status through a mechanism
2 established by the board.
