SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 219

A RESOLUTION
To commend Becky Louque for being named the St. James Parish School System's
2020-2021 Principal of the Year.
WHEREAS, Mrs. Louque has been an educator for over twenty-nine years, during
which time she has provided exemplary and dedicated service to her students; and
WHEREAS, her excellence results from her commitment, dedication, inspiration,
patience, creativity, hard work, and the highest order of professional integrity; and
WHEREAS, she currently serves as the principal of Cypress Grove Montessori
Academy; and
WHEREAS, her mission is to educate the whole child - the mind, the body, and the
soul; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Louque also seeks to empower her staff so that they can educate
the whole child; and
WHEREAS, she not only often recites Dr. Maria Montessori's quote, "Free the child's
potential and transform him into the world", but she actively communicates her belief in the
quote through her daily interactions with her staff and students; and
WHEREAS, being selected Principal of the Year is a well-deserved honor for her
steadfast commitment to her students and her enthusiastic leadership of her staff.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby sincerely commend Mrs. Becky Louque for being named the St. James Parish
School System's 2020-2021 Principal of the Year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Mrs. Becky Louque.
