ACT 149 (HB 325) 2022 Regular Session Stefanski
Existing law requires that meetings of public bodies be open to the public and prohibits a
public body from utilizing any manner of proxy voting procedure, secret balloting, or any
other means to circumvent the intent of existing law.
Existing law authorizes the State Bond Commission to hold periodic meetings via
teleconference or video conference. Provides stipulations regarding such meetings. Limits
the number of such meetings to one per quarter.
Existing law provides relative to rules, regulations, and procedures to allow the pubic to
participate in a meeting via electronic means.
Prior law authorized the commission to adopt such rules, regulations, and procedures. New
law requires same.
Prior law provided for termination of existing law on Aug. 1, 2022.
New law repeals prior law.
Effective August 1, 2022.
