1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 27:437(C)(3), relative to the Video Draw Poker Device Fund;
3 to provide for the use of monies in the fund; to provide for an effective date; and to
4 provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 27:437(C)(3) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 ยง437. Video Draw Poker Device Fund; distribution and expenditure

9	C. Except as provided in Paragraph (3) of this Subsection, the monies in the
10 Video Draw Poker Device Fund shall only be withdrawn pursuant to appropriation
11 by the legislature and shall be distributed as follows:
12	(1)	*          *          *

14	(3) Any monies in the fund not required to meet the purposes provided for in
15 Paragraphs (1) and (2) shall be credited to and deposited in the state general fund as
16 they become available. Any unexpended or unencumbered portion of the
17 twenty-five percent remaining in the Video Draw Poker Device Fund after the
18 allocations made pursuant to the provisions of Paragraph (1) of this Subsection
19 at the end of the fiscal year shall not revert to the state general fund but shall
20 be distributed in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph (1) of this
21 Subsection. Any remaining portion of the seventy-five percent of the unexpended
22 or unencumbered monies remaining in the Video Draw Poker Device Fund at the end
23 of the fiscal year shall revert to the state general fund.

1 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
2 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
3 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
4 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
5 effective on the day following such approval.
