SENATE BILL NO. 433
BY SENATORS WHITE AND FOIL 
SPECIAL DISTRICTS.  Provides relative to the membership of certain airport commissions.

1	AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 2:348, relative to membership of certain airport commissions; to provide for
3 additional commissioners in any parish with a population greater than four hundred
4 fifty thousand and less than four hundred sixty thousand, according to the latest
5 federal decennial census; to provide for legislative representation; to provide for a
6 designee; and to provide for related matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  R.S. 2:348 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
9 ยง348. Commissioners; airport district
10	A. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, a board of
11 commissioners of an airport district in a parish with a population greater than
12 four hundred fifty thousand and less than four hundred sixty thousand,
13 according to the latest federal decennial census, shall add the following two
14 board members:
15	(1) The state senator from Senate District 6, or his designee.
16	(2) The state senator from Senate District 16, or his designee.
17	B. The members appointed to the board pursuant to this Section shall

1 have all voting rights and privileges afforded to other members of the
2 commission. They shall serve terms concurrent with their term in elected office.
