HOUSE BILL NO. 942
BY REPRESENTATIVE BAYHAM
HIGHWAYS/INTERSTATE:  Designates the portion of the Intracoastal Waterway Gulf
Outlet Bridge on Highway 47, in Orleans Parish, as the "Governor David C. Treen
Green Bridge"
1	AN ACT
2To designate the portion of the Intracoastal Waterway Gulf Outlet Bridge on Louisiana
3 Highway 47, in Orleans Parish, as the "Governor David C. Treen Green Bridge"; and
4 to provide for related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1.  The portion of the Intracoastal Waterway Gulf Outlet Bridge on Louisiana
7Highway 47, in Orleans Parish, shall be known and is hereby designated as the "Governor
8David C. Treen Green Bridge".
9 Section 2.  The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
10hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
11provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
12actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to
13exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting this highway designation provided local or private monies are
received by the DOTD equal to its actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
