An Act relative to insurance point surcharges.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 113B of Chapter 175 of the General Laws, is hereby amended by 
2inserting, at the end thereof the following sentence:- “In fixing and establishing classifications of 
3risk, the commissioner of insurance shall not promulgate any rules or regulations to add 
4surcharge points to a motor vehicle insurance premium, based on at-fault accidents or 
5convictions of moving violations of motor vehicle laws, for damages not exceeding $2,500.” 
6 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
