An Act to increase the penalty for school tardiness.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 2 of Chapter 76 of the General Laws is hereby amended in line 5 by 
2striking out the words “be punished by a fine of not more than twenty dollars” and inserting in 
3place thereof the following words:- “be punished by a fine of not more than fifty dollars for each 
4day that the child does not attend school.”
