2626 An Act relative to the leasing of accessory dwelling units.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 Subsection (7) of section 4 of chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the
3030 22020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “residence”, in line 387,
3131 3the following words:- except when such owner is leasing an accessory dwelling unit as defined
3232 4in section 1A of chapter 40A; provided that the owner may as a preference, lease such unit to an
3333 5immediate family member of the owner; provided, that if no such person leases the unit this
3434 6subsection shall apply.
