2525 An Act relative to eminent domain.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 79 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition,
2929 2is hereby amended by inserting after section 1 the following new section:
3030 3 Section 1A. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any agreement
3131 4for damages from an eminent domain taking— for private or commercial investment— must
3232 5award a minimum of two hundred percent of fair market value for the parcel of land.
3333 6 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
