An Act relative to the jurisdiction of the housing court.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 185C of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
2amended by striking out at the first sentence in paragraph (1), as amended by section 79 of
3chapter 47 of the acts of 2017, the following:- “arising in the city of Boston in the case of that
4division, in the counties of Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire in the case of the
5western division and within the cities and towns included in the Worcester county division,
6northeastern division and southeastern division, in the case of those divisions.”
7 SECTION 2. Section 3 of chapter 185C of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
8amended by striking out at the second sentence in paragraph (1), as amended by section 79 of
9chapter 47 of the acts of 2017, the following:- “the city of Boston, in the case of that division,
10Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties, in the case of the western division and 2 of 2
11within the cities and towns included in the Worcester county division, northeastern division and
12southeastern division, in the case of those divisions” and adding in place thereof:- those divisions
13 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon passage.
