| 30 | 30 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 88 of chapter 221 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 |

| 31 | 31 | | 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place |

| 32 | 32 | | 3thereof the following sentence:- "Upon request of the presiding justice or any party, the |

| 33 | 33 | | 4stenographer or transcriber shall furnish a paper or electronic reproduction transcript of a trial or |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 5hearing for which he shall be paid by the party requesting it at the rate of $4.00 per page for the |

| 35 | 35 | | 6original and $1.50 per page for each additional copy ordered at the same time, but not to be less |

| 36 | 36 | | 7than $20. |
